Larger groups and Families (4 bedrooms).

For larger families and groups of friends Maxwelton and Bracken Apartment are frequently rented together at the same time with interlinking door unlocked so house becomes one large 4 bedroom property accommodating 8 plus travel cot.

The property includes self-contained ground-floor accommodation, providing an ideal balance of independence and togetherness. Particularly well suited to larger families and groups of friends comfortably accommodating up to eight guests plus a travel cot. The property is equally popular with one or two guests who may not require all the bedrooms but appreciate the sense of space the house provides.

Exmoor Holidays is an excellent choice for Christmas, New Year, Easter, and special family gatherings, and is especially favoured by multi-generational families, including those holidaying with teenagers or grandparents. The layout allows everyone to enjoy time together while still having
areas of privacy. Its tranquil location and adaptable accommodation also make it ideal for walking/hiking groups, artistic and creative retreats, and photographic holidays, attracting visitors from the UK, Europe, and the USA, all drawn by Exmoor’s dramatic coastline, exceptional light, and unspoilt landscapes.

The property has also hosted universities and academic groups, including archaeological expeditions, as well as discerning groups of friends seeking a peaceful and characterful base from which to explore the Exmoor National Park and its medieval towns and picturesque.

My childhood piano has been left in the lounge because it is a wonderful feature for people to enjoy, especially during Christmas celebrations and children love to play. Regretfully it is only available for use when both Bracken and Maxwelton are rented together as one house and is locked at other times to safeguard guests staying in Bracken from being disturbed by piano music.

Because the property is built on a hillside the living accommodation for Bracken is on the ground floor and Maxwelton is accessed via a flight of stairs. The garden and patio for Maxwelton are at the rear of the the property, and accessed via the kitchen. Bracken’s garden is to the right had side of the property.

Includes 2 off road free car parking spaces, use of piano; free Wifi as well as welcome pack, electricity, heating oil, bed linen and towels, piano, 1 bag of logs.
