| As the calendar turns to November, things soften here on the moor — the crowds have gone, the moors are rich bronze and gold, and there’s a distinct hush in the air that invites slowing down and deep breathing. At Exmoor Holidays, we believe this is one of the most special times to visit and we can’t wait for our annual stay with friends early in December. From our garden you can often hear the owls before returning indoors to enjoy the comfort of relaxing with family or friends playing board games around our wood burning stove. Porlock Village & Local Pubs – Porlock and its nearby villages and local pubs embrace the season with warming dishes, local cider perfect after a coastal or moorland walk so enjoy a wander through the village, enjoy the festive atmosphere as preparations are made for Christmas celebrations, call in at a friendly pub with a roaring fire, enjoy delicious food made from local producers and soak up the atmosphere.
